Awareness Luncheons Weekly Awareness Luncheons, every Wednesday of the month, or flexible schedules for your convenience, anytime between 10:00 a.m until 1:30 p.m.An Awareness Luncheon is a great way to bring a small group of friends, a Bible Study Group, or even an Adult Sunday School Class together for a personal tour and presentation of the Union Rescue Mission, complete with a FREE Lunch or a late-morning Brunch for your group. Lasting a little over an hour, these FREE Luncheons even leave time for your group to have a private meeting or Bible Study in one of the Conference Rooms of our Learning Center. These weekly Awareness Luncheons are a great "birds' eye view" of the happenings at the Union Rescue Mission. See first-hand the New Beginnings students in classes, see how our Food Services Dept. prepares nearly 400 meals each and every day, and learn what it takes for our Homeless Volunteers to help keep the Mission running every day--starting with laundry of over 175 sets of bed linens and towels every morning, all the way to viewing our 5,000 square foot "Garden of Eatin' " that helps offset some of our food expense! 2010 Upcoming Dates to choose from: March: 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 April: 7, 14, 21, 28 May: 5, 12, 19, 26 To schedule one of our Awareness Luncheons for you or your group, or to get more information, please call Julie at (316) 687-4673 or email her at julie@urmwichita.org |
