The Union Rescue Mission accepts donations of food as well as your new or gently used men’s clothing and bedding. Donated items are used to meet the needs of our residents in the New Beginnings life-change program and our emergency shelter. Suitable items are also sorted and then distributed to people in need in our community.
Clothing should be in good condition. Stained, torn or otherwise damaged items are not appropriate. New apparel, especially socks, underwear, hats, gloves and sweaters are particularly useful. For a list of current needs CLICK HERE.
Because of space and handling considerations, there are some items we can’t accept.
Items We Don’t Accept
- Used mattresses
- Used computer equipment
- Expired or Opened Medication
- Used underwear, socks, or undershirts
Donated items may be dropped off M-F, 8am to 4pm, and Saturday 8am to 11:30am at the URM Shelter, 2800 N Hillside.
We’re always in need of packaged foods. If you, your church or an organization you belong to is interested in conducting a food drive, we can make it easy for you. We have everything you’ll need to gather canned goods, boxed meals, cereals and other pantry items. Just contact our volunteer coordinators, Julie or Kalynn, at (316) 687-4673, or send an email to email@example.com.
