A Note from the Board of Directors:The Board of Directors and the Executive Director of the Union Rescue Mission are committed to financial credibility and we take great pride in the manner in which we use your contributions.

In a day and age when many organizations are deceptive in their use of funds, we continue to be dedicated to using your financial support to increase the Kingdom of God.

It is our commitment to be the best stewards we can with the resources you and the Lord have entrusted to us.

All our funds are scrutinized through the use of a yearly audit from the Christian accounting firm of Hannenman CPA, in Wichita, KS.

Following is a current roster of the 2010 Board of Directors of the Union Rescue Mission.

Joe Stout, President
Joe Stout has served on the Board of Directors for 3 years. He is self employeed, spending the majority of his time in Chaplain ministry and discipleship. He and his wife, Sandy, are members of First Evangelical Free Church, in Wichita.

Dennis Schmidt, Secretary
Dennis Schmidt has served on the Board for 5 years. Mr. Schmidt is the owner of Mallard Real Estate and served on the board of Harry Hynes Hospice. Dennis and his wife, Dee, are members of Central Christian Church, in Wichita.

Leo J. Hendrich, Assistant Secretary
Leo Hendrich has served on the Board of Directors for 25 years. He was the owner and manager of H/S Products, Inc. a production machine shop, before retirement. Leo is a member of West Evangelical Free Church in Wichita where he is an Elder of his church. He also serves as Secretary of Gideons International, Wichita Southwest camp.

John B. "Jack" Jarrott, Treasurer
Jack Jarrott has served on the Board of Directors for 2 years. He is a retired Pharmaceutical Representative. Jack and his wife, Barbara, are members of Berean Baptist Church, in Hutchinson.

Orval Thiessen, Assistant Treasurer
Orval Thiessen has served on the Board of Directors for 14 years. He is a farmer and stockman who is also a member of Gideons International and serves as the secretary of the Kansas State Gideon Cabinet. Orval and his wife Agnes are members of the Emmaus Mennonite Church, in Whitewater.

Roger Busenitz, Board Member
Roger Busenitz has served on the Board of Directors for 15 years and has served three years as a Past Board President. Roger is a territory sales manager with Excel Industries in Hesston. Roger and his wife Patty are members of Newton Bible Church.

Phillip E. Chambers, Board Member Emeritus
Phil Chambers has served on the Board of Directors for 23 years. Formerly the Vice-President of Aero-Mach Labs, Inc. Mr. Chambers has since retired. Phil and his wife Ladean are members of Calvary Baptist Church, in Derby.

Bruce Hoyle, Board Member
Bruce Hoyle is the newest member of the Board of Directors, having served for one year. He is self employed, as a barber, at Larkland Barber Shop in Hutchinson. He and his wife, Sheryl, are members of Christ's Bible Church, in Nickerson.

C.A. "Al" Langhofer, Board Member
Al Langhofer has served on the Board of Directors for 23 years.
Mr. Langhofer is retired from insurance sales but remains active in the rental investment market. Retired from lay pastoring, Al and his wife, Judy, are members of Apostolic Christian Church, in Wichita.

Arthur "Art" Unrau, Board Member
Arthur Unrau has served on the Board of Directors 19 years after retiring as a missionary to the American Indians in South Dakota and Minnesota as well as pastoring four churches. He remains active in church work as well as serving as Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Community Senior Center, and served 20 years as secretary of the Lion's Club. Art is a member of Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren
