Principles of Stewardship

The Lord holds us accountable for good stewardship in everything we do. Listed below are the financial principles that the Executive Director, and the Board of Directors try to adhere to:

1) To set high standards for financial accountability and submit to an annual audit by a Christian CPA firm.

2) To never encourage donors to support the Mission until they have met their obligation to their home church.

3) To act with integrity and honesty when raising funds and seeking financial support.

4) To use all gifts prayerfully, conservatively, and efficiently, realizing that good stewardship requires keeping
administrative expenditures as low as possible.

5) To insure that 100% of financial donations directly supports the ministries and programs of the Union Rescue Mission.

6) To always use funds as the donor designates, to the extent that the IRS laws allow.

7) To never sell or rent our donor mailing list.
