Are We Making a Difference? For the past seven years the homeless clients being served by the Union Rescue Mission of Wichita, KS have increased nearly 600%! We have become the largest men's Homeless Shelter in the State of Kansas, averaging over 145 men each and every night. The URM is the only Homeless Shelter in the State of Kansas with a 12-month, residential, Christian-based Life-Change Program for the Homeless--a custom-designed curriculum called the New Beginnings Program. At our Nightly Chapel Service, in just the past four years alone, the URM has averaged 39 Salvations for Christ each and every month. Are we making a difference? YES, we are! We ARE changing the future of the homeless--one life at a time! |
